B.O.S.S. - Baseball Offensive Skills Sessions

Bob Bianco, former White Sox organization player and DTA instructor will work with the players to develop their offensive skills so that they can play baseball at a higher level and improve their offensive game. Better offensive skills will translate into more fun and playing time for players of all ages. The professional staff at DTA is committed to that training and skill improvement. B.O.S.S. will work on all areas of the offensive game, from hitting for power, situational hitting, bunting and base running/sliding. Also included in the session will be video analysis of each player.

Joe Citari, former Kansas City Royal professional player will lead this camp which will focus on the fundamentals of hitting. Players will participate in drills and cage work to improve their swing. The goal of the camp is to improve the player’s fundamentals and confidence so that they will become better hitters. The camp will consist of twice a week sessions for 4 weeks. Each session will last one hour. Four player maximum in a camp to ensure adequate time with the instructor.
This camp will be held on Tuesdays/Thursdays in September.

The Bullpen Pitching Program (Revised 10/15/08)

The Bullpen Pitching Camp is a detailed 8 week pitcher development program that will address every aspect of pitching. The experienced staff of former major league and college pitchers will work the camp participants to improve their mechanics and pitch execution which will help pitchers improve their game performance. We will also focus on fielding practice and instruct pitchers how to handle defensive situations such as fielding bunts and pickoff moves.

Former professionals will address mental and strategy side of pitching and how to apply them in game situations. Live pitching versus hitter and umpires calling balls and strikes will provide the final piece to a great program. Athletico Physical Therapy will provide a detailed lecture on sports nutrition and injury prevention training techniques.

Advanced Hitting Techniques Camp

Do you want to become a better hitter?
This camp is an intensive program designed to bring your swing to a new level. Joe Citari, former Kansas City Royal professional player will lead this camp that will focus on the fundamentals necessary for hitters to become an offensive force and hit the baseball with more consistency. Coach Joe and the staff at DTA will conduct this camp and work with baseball players to improve their skills so that they can become better hitters.

Camp will be limited to 12 players per class. 6:1 player/coach ratio
Camp will be 4 week session/two times per week . (8 sessions)

Are you looking to improve your baseball skills?

Joe Citari, former Kansas City Royal professional player will lead this class that will focus on the fundamentals necessary for young ballplayers to play every facet of the game properly. Joe will work with players to improve both their mental and physical skills and show them little known tricks to give them an edge. The goal of this class is to cover all aspects of baseball from hitting and fielding, to pitching/catching and infield/outfield play.

These classes will meet once a week for 7 weeks and will be limited to 12 players per class. Class sessions will be 1.5 hours with classes on Saturdays. Classes begin Nov. 8th
Class sessions will be for ages 9-14.
Class ratio will be 6:1 student/instructor. Class Cost: $210 per session.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL CAMP

Planning on trying out for your High School Baseball Team? Get prepared for the upcoming season by enrolling in this camp specifically designed to get you ready for High School Baseball. Joe Citari, former Kansas City Royal professional player will lead this camp that will focus on the fundamentals necessary to play at the high school level. High School coaches expect certain qualities out of their players, and this camp will concentrate on the development of those skills. Also providing instruction is Ryan Antesberger, Double A player with the Florida Marlins and Class A All-Star selection in 2007. The camp will cover hitting, infield and outfield play, pitching and mental preparation. In addition, we will provide you with drills and exercises to improve your strength, speed and agility.

Camp sessions will be twice a week and will be limited to 20 players.
HS camp runs for 4 weeks, with 8 total sessions per camp.
Cost: $200 per player Jan. class. $150 per player Feb. class.

The perfect camp for the first time ball player or coach. Our staff of dedicated and experienced coaches will instruct the players through a multitude of fun but instructional drills. Camp participants will play simulated games inside our astro-turfed and lighted "Field of Dreams" stadium.

The drills and skills at this level are more competitive in nature with more repetition mixed in with conditioning. We take some of the same techniques used by college level and major league teams and adjust the goals to fit this age group. Players will receive instructi on i n all defensive and offensive physi cal ski lls, which include defensive footwork, outfield defense, infield play, how to be an effective pitcher and hi tting for power!

Players wi ll be given more advanced dri lls and ski ll work in order to develop better fundamentals. Players will receive instruction in all defensive and offensive areas of play. Defensive footwork, outfield defense, infield play and some speed/agi lity training will be included. Travel level players wi ll be allowed to partici pate in this session. Players wi ll be seperated by age.
