Dupage training academy
DuPage Training Academy is a premier sports training facility for athletes and teams in baseball, softball, speed & agility, and strength training.
We offer a variety of baseball & softball camps, clinics, leagues, showcases, and travel teams for all ages and experience levels.
Rent space to practice hitting, pitching, speed & agility or connect with an instructor and get top level instruction from former college and pro players!
If you are looking to host an indoor practice, we have a large indoor infield area that is perfect for fielding and base running drills.
MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
A former standout player at Louisiana Tech. and is currently the co-head coach at Wheaton Academy High School. Rick is the coach for the 16U DTA Wildcats travel baseball team and is one of the top hitting instructors at DTA.
Baseball Hitting & Catching
The starting catcher at Glenbard North High School and went on to catch for Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. Over the past couple of years Andy has taken over the role of head coach for the 15U DTA Wildcats travel team and is also a coach for the DTA Fall ball program. Andy was recently hired as the Head Coach at Glenbard West High School.
Baseball Hitting, Pitching & Catching
Eddie Pieczynski was a 2-year letter winner at Parkland Junior College and Illinois State University. He led ISU in hitting his senior year. Eddie then went on to play professionally in the Independent Frontier League as a star catcher. He now focuses on working with players on hitting/pitching mechanics as well developing strong catchers.
Lou was the pitching coach for Benedictine U for 7 years. He is an NPA certified pitching instructor who has taken many HS players to the next level with his instruction at DTA.
CERTIFIED SPEED AND STRENGTH
While in high school, DJ was an IHSA All State selection in both football and baseball. After high school, DJ played Division 1 baseball at NIU and is now a certified speed and strength training coach and the head coach for the 16U DTA Wildcat baseball team. DJ's main training focus is strength, speed, flexibility and nutrition.
softball Hitting, slapping & defense
Krista was a four year varsity letter winner in softball and earned three letters in basketball and two in volleyball at Plainfield South High School. She was selected by the Chicago Sun Times Super 60 in Illinois as one of the top 60 seniors in the state. At Northern Illinois University, Krista started at third base and short stop playing in 151 out of 169 games and was a team leader each year in sacrifice bunts. Krista is now a softball DTA instructor for hitting, slapping, and defensive skills.
Katie has an impressive history playing and coaching softball. Upon graduating high school in 1998, she received a full scholarship to Central Florida/Robert Morris College where throughout her college career was named All Conference, All Tourney and All Regional player. She was also crowned pitcher of the year CCAC and NAIA pitcher of the week. She continued her success playing overseas and was recently inducted into the Robert Morris Hall of Fame. Katie began her coaching career in 2000. In 2001 she coached for the Netherlands Terravogles B Team and in 2002-2004 was named Head Softball Coach for Immaculate Heart of Mary High School. Currently she coaches the LT Blazers.
HITTING, CATCHING & DEFENSE
Graduated from Glenbard North High School in 2009 where she played basketball and softball for 4 years. Her softball team went undefeated in one season and won three conference championships. She also earned All-Conference honors 3 years in a row. She was selected by the Chicago Sun Times Super 60 in Illinois as one of the top 60 seniors in the state. Brianna went on to play softball for Kankakee Community College where she earned NJCAA All-American honors for catching. The team finished 2nd and 3rd in the Nation in 2010 and 2011. She holds the record for most hits with 97 in a season and is ranked second for most doubles in a season in Kankakee history. She went on to play at Judson University where she earned NAIA Player of the Week multiple times.
Hitting & Pitching
Missy was a two-time all-state selection, including first team pick as a senior. She was selected as the Gatorade Player of the Year nominee as a senior, 2008 Press Publications Player of the Year, Chicago Sun-Times top 100 as a junior and senior, Chicago Tribune top 50 as a senior, two-time Daily Herald all-area pick, Daily Herald honorable mention as a sophomore, three-time all-conference selection, including unanimous first team as a junior and senior, conference Pitcher of the Year during her junior season, two-time team MVP, team captain as a senior. Missy played her freshman season at Driscoll High School and and finished at Lake Park High School. After highschool, Missy attended the U of Iowa and was a 4 year player for the Hawkeyes.
